I am very pleased to see Google enter the online payments market because as I have pointed out on several occasions, I am less than impressed with Ebay/Paypal. Ive read that Google are also entering the online auctions business. Google Buy combined with Google Base is only a few minor tweaks away from that already !

I have listed my own personal predictions.
1. Gbuy will become the number one online payments processor, leaving Paypal at number 2.
2. Gbuy auctions will become the number one auction site. It will take a couple of years to beat Ebay but it is doable.
3. Google will eventually merge all its useful free and paid services into a single seamless user interface. You will be able to do everything via your google homepage.
